What to consider when selecting a powder
ALKALOID PROFILE. Kanna has three main actives. The proportion of each is what separates one extract from another, and every extract states its own.
CONCENTRATION. Our standard extracts are concentrated to 5% total alkaloids by weight. LIFT XR is an extra strength extract concentrated to 16%.

Measuring a serving
A standard serving is 25mg. The micro-scoop holds about 10mg, so 25mg is two to three scoops. On LIFT XR, start at one scoop.
Powder mixes into water, coffee or juice. Slightly bitter — most people don't mind it and some do.
Onset and duration
Onset is usually around 30 minutes — sooner on an empty stomach, longer with food. Effects last two to three hours.
Testing
Every lot is tested by an independent laboratory: alkaloid profile by HPLC, plus screening for heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, and microbial contamination.
Sourcing
Grown in South Africa without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Sceletium falls under South Africa's Bioprospecting, Access and Benefit Sharing regulations and the Nagoya Protocol, because its use rests on Khoi and San traditional knowledge. Our grower holds the BABS permitting and the benefit-sharing agreement with the Khoi communities who hold that knowledge.

Common questions
Which powder should I buy first?
LIFT, our best-selling powder, at 80% mesembrine and 40mg per gram. LIFT XR is not a starting point: it carries 150mg of mesembrine per gram.
How long does a jar last?
A 1-gram jar is 40 servings of 25mg. On LIFT XR the jar is the same size, and published guidance is to start at about 10mg.
How do I hit 25mg without a scale?
The micro-scoop holds roughly 10mg, so two to three scoops lands near a serving. That is close enough on the standard powders. For an exact number, or for LIFT XR, weigh it on a milligram scale.
Can I combine two powders?
Yes. The result is a profile in between the two and a total larger than either alone, so weigh the combined amount rather than taking a full serving of each.
Can I take kanna with an antidepressant?
Not without talking to your prescriber first. Kanna's alkaloids act on serotonin, and combining serotonergic substances carries a real risk. This applies to SSRIs, SNRIs, MAO inhibitors, tricyclics, lithium, triptans, tramadol, dextromethorphan, St. John's Wort, and 5-HTP.
Is kanna legal?
Kanna is not a controlled substance in the United States and is sold here as a dietary supplement. Regulations differ by country, so check your local law before ordering internationally.
